Hello ghoul-fans! For this week's Halloween treat I wanted to think outside the box and so I went for a Chupacabra! I tried to combine the older "spiked alien reptile" (apparently inspired by the 1990s schlock-film species) depiction of this famous monster with the currently more popular "scaly blue dog" depiction (which is just wolves and coyotes with really bad mange attacking livestock). How'd I do?
I wanted to reference the small bird that according to an old-wives-tale stole milk from mother goats, and was the origin of the term "Chupacabra" (according to an old episode of Bonanza), but I couldn't think of a good way to do it. At least not in a single illustration...stay tuned.
And remember, don't just be the G.O.A.T. Be the Chupacabra!
